Anger Management Institute of Texas
Did you benefit from taking the classes, if so how?

I really did benefit from the classes or I would not be typing an assessment about the classes. There were a lot of things that I just did not know, and sometimes it is just time for an old dog to learn new tricks. First of All, I learned that I avoided - (avoidance) just about everything in my life until now. My life had been about if you get in a little trouble, I could use intimidation, manipulation and just about all the things that were on our Destructive Interactions (Negative Wheel). I learned that these behaviors were not Constructive interactions like Active Listening, Focusing and Expressing my Feelings, these things are positive. Positive is where I want to be.

Did you find the facilitator (Gregory Kyles) knowledgeable about anger management?

Yes, I did find Mr. Kyles facilitation to be very knowledgeable about anger management. Mr. Kyles allowed the students to take something with them with his method of teaching. Greg's interaction with the students is one of respect and the utmost emotional intellect. As students, we are all going to have feelings about taking this course especially if it is needed by court or job. Most of those feelings being negative, but in this class were learn positive thinking to counter those thoughts. Greg's intervention and extreme knowledge of situations helped me and most likely will help someone who is in or about to get in the situation I was in.

What did you like about the classes, and what did you dislike about the classes?

I like the interaction with the other students because it just showed that we are not alone in our actions…I think that reviewing what we learned previously help in ways to hammer in some of the things that we may have missed in the previous class. Greg was able to show us things or points about that class that we may have not recognized exactly then, but needed to. I had no dislikes about the class, I started the class in a positive manner and finished with a positive frame of mind.

Would you recommend the program to a family member, co-worker, or friends?

Yes, I would. I feel if you can recognize that you do have some type of anger problem, then just like drugs, knowing is half the battle.

I enjoyed Mr. Kyles class, I feel that it helped me a lot. I really don't ever want to put my self in that position ever again. I jeopardized my family, myself, my job and just my entire existence with being angry.

I can honestly say I benefited from the classes, they helped me as far as being able to identify my feelings before I react and by doing this I’m better at relationships, my job and even in my community. I would recommend the program to anyone at any time because the classes were really a big help to me and I now believe I can be a better person.

The class was very helpfull.I've begun to analyze my relationships with my family, parents, and others. Mr. Kyles is a very knowledge person. He knows a lot about anger, stress, communication, and emotional intelligence. I now know how to handle interpersonal relationships because of his class.

Did you benefit from taking the classes, if so how?

Absolutely! I've learned that everybody gets angery, it's how we deal with it that's important and that you always have better options when you "don't act out". The most important thing I learned is that the main objective to every interaction is a positive outcome.

Did you find the facilitator (Gregory Kyles) knowledgeable about anger management?

Very, not only does he teach, but he lives and teaches by example. From what I've seen he shows what relationship management is all about.

What did you like about the classes, and what did you dislike about the classes?

I liked how we all talked about our initial incident that got us referred so everything for everybody was out in the open. It showed that we are all human and get angery at times.

Would you recommend the program to a family member, co-worker, or friends?

Definitely, as a matter of fact I already have whether they take me up on it is up to them.

Did you benefit from taking the classes, if so how?

Yes - The way that anger management benefited me was by helping me to be aware of my feelings. How I think about situations that can stress me out or make me mad. Even new ways to handle problems so that a positive outcome will happened instead of a negative one.

Did you find the facilitator (Gregory Kyles) knowledgeable about anger management?

Mr. Kyles was very knowledgeable about anger management and even with life. He put things in a way that anyone who's willing to learn will get it.

What did you like about the classes, and what did you dislike about the classes?

What I liked about the classes is that everybody gets a chance to say what they feel. What I disliked about the class was when you finally realized what you did wrong - somebody else points it out.

Would you recommend the program to a family member, co-worker, or friends?

Yes - to anybody that I know or someone who's trying to find their self.

Mr. Kyles is a very down to earth person who can relate every aspect of life to our anger. He definitely knows how to reach people in the pits we create for ourselves.

I loved the interaction Mr. Kyles instills in us. We all learn from each others mistakes and successes. This class is a must for everyone.

Yes I benefited from the classes. I am a different person in how I look at anger and stress in my life. I learned the warning signs and how to prevent them from turning into anger.

Did you find the facilitator (Gregory Kyles) knowledgeable about anger management?

Very much so. Greg's real life stories help me relate the lessons to my life.

What did you like about the classes, and what did you dislike about the classes?

I liked the small group and how everyone was honest about why they were here. My only dislike was the video narrator's accent.

Would you recommend the program to a family member, co-worker, or friends?

I would absolutely recommend this class. If not for anger management, but for "Life Lessons". Things you weren't taught in school.
